1011. Zambia, 2008 Wang Xin one of the men in charge for the free trade zone of Chambishi that is being created in the heart of the Copperbelt, has his photograph taken with two Zambian deputies who have come to investigate on this giant project that will include the copper smelter that in is construction behind them. This smelter represents a 300 million dollar investment and is one of the leading projects of the Chinese in Zambia but it’s construction has been slowed by strikes of workers protesting wages of less then 200 dollars a month that have been violently represses by the Chinese security agents.
