931. Congo, Pointe Noire, 2007



Xiang Yang Yé, is known in Congo as Philippe. He left China at 17 and joined the French foreign legion. He was based in Djibouti and has fought in Iraq in 1991. In 2002 he came to help his sister Jessica Yé with her many businesses in Congo, where his military experience can come in handy. When the Yé family launched itself in the logging business he is the one chosen to organize the export towards China. He is seen here at the harbor of Pointe Noire verifying the logs carrying the code of his company (SIC) ready to leave for China.
